About Us

Joyce Stavis-Zak and Rita Rzezuski are experts in early childhood education, with more than sixty years of experience combined helping educators create high quality experiences for children and parents alike. J&R Educational Consulting will continue Joyce and Rita’s first-hand experience actively collaborating with EEC, NAEYC and the CDA on statewide and national initiatives.

Joyce spent more than three decades at the Brookline Health Department, overseeing the early childhood licensing/resource team. Joyce licensed all of Brookline’s private child care centers for more than 20 years, led hundreds of professional development trainings for educators, and offered individualized coaching to child care staff. She has a master’s in Early Childhood Education and Supervision from Wheelock College.

Rita has over 30 years of experience in the field of early childhood education as a college professor, CDA professional development specialist, coach, trainer, administrator and educator. She has a master’s from Wheelock College in Early Childhood Education. During her free time, Rita enjoys spending time with her family, gardening, exercising and walking her dog.
